Currently in professional testing. Together with KB, we at NGS are testing the DT-M in our lab. Production of the device starts once our testing is complete.
KB DT-M – the next generation of the DT-2 dual-tube night vision binocular
The KB DT-M (Dual Tube Modular) from Kauffmann-Bremin is the direct successor of the KB DT-2. It arrived exactly one year after the DT-2 entered service and adds the three things operators asked for most – manual gain, external power and onboard infrared – without giving up a single bit of the sealed, rugged build that made the DT-2 a favourite in military trials across Europe.
Green phosphor (P43)
Green phosphor gives the traditional green night vision image that many users are used to. With Photonis ECHO tubes it is also the lower-priced option.
From the engineer behind the legendary DTNVG
Both the DT-M and the DT-2 were designed by the same engineer who created the famous DTNVG – one of the most respected dual-tube binoculars in the world. The DT-M is his latest design: everything the DTNVG and the DT-2 got right, plus the features operators kept asking for.
Built on the DT-2’s track record
During its first year the DT-2 went through multiple military trials with special and regular forces across Europe. It was designed around reliability, dependability and repairability – and according to the manufacturer, not a single unit from the production batch has come back for repair or replacement. The DT-M takes that proven platform and moves it a full generation forward.
AsymMCS™ – individual, glove-ready controls on a fully sealed device
Most night vision binoculars rely on one rotary knob with push-and-twist sequences you have to drill into muscle memory. The DT-M replaces that with the patent-pending AsymMCS™ magnetic control system: every switch carries a small magnet outside the housing and talks to a solid-state sensor inside it. No holes, no extra seals, no new failure points – the device stays hermetically sealed. Multiple internal sensors detect and cancel external magnetic interference.
- IR on its own switch on the left arm.
- Power on the central switch – exactly where DT-2 users expect it.
- Manual gain on a slider on the right arm (3- and 4-pad tubes), with left/right gain calibration.
- Instant haptic click or slide, no activation delay – usable with gloves, in the cold and under water. This is what Kauffmann-Bremin calls the operator’s Asymmetric Advantage™.
External power, data and a smart service interface
A waterproof, USB-compatible connector takes external power through adapter cables – Fischer-style and ANVIS Lemo-style battery packs or USB-C – with automatic switchover between the internal and external source (1.5 V to 5.5 V). The same port is a service interface: our certified technician can run diagnostics, calibration, configuration and encrypted firmware updates without opening the device. Smart features include flip-up tilt detection with tube protection, no-motion power save, auto-off on stow, a configurable low-battery LED, brightness calibration between the tubes and runtime counters for the tubes and the device.

Questions before you buy?
Can’t find your answer? Talk to a technician.
Is night vision legal for civilian use?
Yes – the devices in our online store are civilian products sold legally in the EU. Rules for using night vision (for example for hunting) differ between countries, so please check your local regulations. Devices for military and law enforcement are supplied only B2B / B2G through tenders.
Which tube and optics should I choose?
It depends on how and where you will use the device. Higher FOM means a cleaner, sharper image in very low light. If you are unsure, call or e-mail us – a technician will recommend the configuration that fits your use and budget.
How fast will I get my order?
The availability is shown next to the price. We ship from Slovakia across the EU with Packeta and GLS, and you receive tracking as soon as your parcel is on its way. Orders from 1 000 € get free or reduced shipping.

Can I return the product?
Consumers can return products within 14 days without giving a reason, in line with EU law. See our return policy and return form.
