Panoramic night vision – quad-tube NVG with an ultra-wide field of view
A standard night vision binocular shows you a 40° circle. Panoramic night vision goggles – often called quad NVG or quad-tube NVG – use four image intensifier tubes side by side: two centre channels give you depth perception, two outward-angled side channels widen the view to 97–104°. You see teammates, doorways and terrain at the edge of your vision without constantly turning your head.
Our panoramic night vision goggles
- NGS PANO – 104° field of view, coyote housing, IP67 and about 45 hours of runtime from a rear 4× AA battery box.
- NGS-18 – 97° × 40° field of view with flip-up side pods, so you can run it as a binocular when you do not need the full panorama.
Tubes: Photonis ECHO or NNVT, green or white phosphor
Every panoramic goggle is built to order with four autogated image intensifier tubes – Photonis/Exosens ECHO (FOM 1800+ or 2200+) or NNVT (FOM 1400+, 1600+ or 1900+), in green (P43) or white (P45) phosphor. A higher FOM gives a cleaner, sharper image on dark, moonless nights. Each device is assembled, nitrogen-purged and tested in our lab in Slovakia and comes with a 24-month guarantee.
Who is a quad-tube NVG for?
Panoramic night vision is built for movement: CQB, driving under night vision, team work and anyone who wants maximum situational awareness. Four tubes weigh more than two, so a solid helmet mount and a counterweight make long nights far more comfortable. Not sure if you need four tubes? Compare with our dual-tube binoculars or try them in person.
Frequently asked questions
What is a quad NVG?
A quad NVG (quad-tube or panoramic night vision goggle) uses four image intensifier tubes instead of one or two. The two outer tubes are angled outwards, which widens the field of view from the usual 40° to roughly 97–104°.
Panoramic or binocular night vision – which should I choose?
A dual-tube binocular is lighter and more affordable and is enough for most users. A panoramic quad-tube goggle is worth it when you move a lot under night vision – CQB, driving or team work – and want the widest possible view.
Which tubes can I get in a panoramic goggle?
We build the NGS PANO and NGS-18 with autogated Photonis/Exosens ECHO tubes (FOM 1800+ or 2200+) or NNVT tubes (FOM 1400+, 1600+ or 1900+), each in green or white phosphor.
